WHITE ISLAND SHUTTLE

Begin your White Island MARINE VOLCANO adventure in Rotorua.

Climb aboard the White Island Shuttle for a scenic drive to the Whakatane Wharf where you will board PeeJay for a day trip to White Island – New Zealand’s only LIVE marine volcano!

SCHEDULE

The White Island Shuttles run Monday to Saturday (and Sundays by arrangement) to meet with the 9.15am White Island Tour departure. 

The White Island Tour is weather dependant and the shuttle will only be operating when the tour goes ahead.  When making a booking, we will require a contact phone number as we will need to confirm the weather conditions with you.  We will need to speak with you between 7 and 8pm the evening before.  BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL.

 

PICK-UP POINTS

Rotorua

We will collect you from outside one of the following pick-up points in Rotorua between 7 – 7.30am.  Times will be confirmed the evening before your tour.

  • Anne’s Volcanic Motel – 107 Malfroy Street
  • Funky Green Backpackers – 4 Union Street
  • Kiwipaka – 60 Tarewa Road
  • Tourism Rotorua (Information Centre) – 1167 Fenton Street
  • Four Canoes – 273 Fenton Street
  • Alpin Motel – 16 Sala Street

The price for a complete return trip to White Island trip, departing and returning to Rotorua, is NZD $259 per person. Between 21st January - 19 December we have a discounted rate for children. This rate is $190 per child for shuttle and White Island Tour. If you wish to travel to Whakatane without going on the tour to White Island, the price is $60 per adult/child (return) and $35 per person (one-way). Please note that the shuttle does not operate if the White Island Tour does not go ahead due to bad weather.
